While he was doing well and gaining renown on the one end he was becoming infamous to the state of Iowa. He combined his vaudeville showmanship with his belief that he could do better than modern medicine to become one of the county’s most notorious charlatans. He went from town to town offering people cures that made them feel better long enough to gain publicity. By the time his patient died he was long gone and the publicity had passed. He even made public acts of brain surgery, out in the open, patient sitting on a log in front of the crowd. Of course the patient would be dead of infection within months.
Very often people will let themselves be persuaded by others and will not allow themselves to actually put on the wedding they really want to. They are afraid someone will not like their ideas such as having the wedding in a non-traditional location. Or using colors that are outside the pastel family. They become so worried about what others will think that they end up putting on the wedding of other people’s dreams and not their own.
Make sure that you keep a list of the guests that will be coming with you. You want to make sure that they know the deposit dates, itinerary, and when final payment is due. You also need to make sure that everyone has the required travel documents. If you have a travel agent helping you, you can have them make these very important calls to your family members.
Ask the consultant for three options and give her your budget so that she immediately knows which resorts she can put forward. If you have any concerns, discuss them with the consultant. Problems with the season. This is mostly true when the couple just do not want to have a winter theme for their December affair. Couples mostly choose the opposite type of season on their location especially when the date and the theme does not match. This is mostly convenient for couples and at the same time romantic as friends can also enjoy the sun and the vacation themselves.
BUT if you’re planning a wedding in the summer, keep in mind it is hurricane season in the caribbean. There are still options, though, like Europe or resorts on the Pacific that generally have a “wet” rather than “hurricane” season. Hey, if the price is right, you may want to take the risk.
Discuss the destination. He might want an island with sun, ocean and palm trees with loads of relaxation while she might want Kenya with bush and wildlife and safari. Choose a destination that caters for both. Example, you could choose three nights safari in Kenya and then move to a resort along the coast where you can relax on the white sand, ocean in front of you, sipping cocktails. This way, you both get what you want and you’re both happy.
